We are 34 hours into tag approving! We began with 4563 nominated fandoms (though two different spellings of the same fandom are treated as two different fandoms for that total). We have 3766 fandom nominations still to sort.

Please help us with the following queries. For many questions, we need to hear from the nominator, so please only reply if you were the nominator, and please give us a link to your personal nominations page, which will look like https://archiveofourown.org/tag_sets/31411/nominations/4##### [substitute your own number at the end]. In other cases we welcome information from anyone who knows the fandom.


Agnes - Glass Animals (Music Video) - We don’t see an Agnes physically appearing in the music video, just a mannequin, and Dave Bayley, who is singing. To ensure we are approving the music video with characters who appear in it, we propose to either approve this with characters of Man Singing (Agnes MV) and Mannequin (Agnes MV) - or we could approve this as the song with characters Narrator (Agnes - Song) and Agnes (Agnes - Song). What would you prefer? (See also next query.)

Relatedly, Glass Animals (Band) - Agnes (Glass Animals) is nominated in this fandom. We are aware of Agnes in a Glass Animals song. Could we get more information on how Agnes works in a RPF nomination please - is Agnes a real person, who is publicly known, associated with the band beyond being in this song, over 18, and famous in their own right?

Alliance-Union - C. J. Cherryh and Cyteen Series - C. J. Cherryh - these are overlapping series. The first is nominated with Ariane Emory I, Jen Neihart, Ross Monahan, and Worldbuilding. The second is nominated with Florian AF-9979 II, Grant ALX-972, Justin Warrick, and Worldbuilding. Nominators, should we combine these under Alliance-Union, or approve Cyteen and split Alliance-Union into Cyteen and Hinder Stars? Please let us know what sorts of requests and offer options you were hoping for.

Arm Joe - could we please check the character Justice? We're wondering if Judgment was meant.

Empire Records (1995) - nominator of Freddie, did you mean Eddie?

The Goblin Emperor Series - Katherine Addison - we also have separate nominations for The Cemeteries of Amalo, and two nominations for The Cemeteries of Amalo characters under The Goblin Emperor series. We can either approve The Goblin Emperor and The Cemeteries of Amalo separately, or combine them under The Goblin Emperor Series; nominators, please let us know which you prefer, and link your nominations page.

History Boys - All Media Types - we will not approve this as All Media Types. Nominator, please supply your nominations page and let us know if you want the play or the movie - otherwise we will reject this.

Imaginary Friend - ITZY (Music Video) - you've nominated characters based on the names of performers Hwang Yeji, Shin Ryujin, and Shin Yuna; please could we instead get suggestions (from either you or from other viewers) of characters who are distinguished by how they appear or their specific actions in the music video? Additionally, one nominated character is 'Original Killer Character(s) (Dead by Daylight)'. That seems like a misclick - nominator, what were you looking for here?

Imperial Radch Series - Ann Leckie - we have a nomination for Ancillary Trilogy and several nominations for Radiant Star. We also have multiple nominations for the Imperial Radch Series. One of the Imperial Radch Series nominations appears to be a slate of only Radiant Star characters. We'd like to approve those characters under with Radiant Star - Ann Leckie, and combine the others with Ancillary Trilogy - Ann Leckie. There is also a nomination for Translation State, which won’t be affected. If you’re a nominator and have opinions on this proposal, please let us know. Note that we won’t approve the Imperial Radch Series and also the other series separately - only one grouping or the other.

La Langue des Vipères by Juliette Brocal - nominator, you gave up a heads up on Evidence about this graphic novel - thanks! - and we agree it's a perfectly fine Yuletide canon. However, could we please get more information about the character of Maxime?

Little Witch in the Woods (Video Game) - this includes nominations for Arin, Ellie, Diana, and also 'Ship: Arin/Ellie'. Nominator, we don't approve ships, only characters; you can request a story that focuses on both Arin and Ellie if you want but cannot require your author to write a particular ship. We hope that is clearer. Did you want a different fourth character? Additionally, could you or someone else confirm Diana please? We can only find Diane.

Magic School Bus & Magic School Bus Rides Again (Cartoons 1994-2018) - nominator, since we have a separate nomination for the 1994 cartoon, could we confirm you are interested in both the 1994 cartoon and the later reboot combined, or would splitting the canons also allow you to request and offer what you intended?

Mercury Company Stories - Eleanor M. Ingram - we have separate nominations for The Flying Mercury, Stanton Wins, and From the Car Behind, as well as a nomination for Mercury Company Stories - Eleanor M. Ingram (which is how we approved this last year) with characters from all three plus one of the short stories. Moon Observatory (Batensan Visual Novels) - for the character "Reqieu Morgan (Moon Observatory)", could we get more information please? This appears to be the names for two different characters who are siblings - nominator, if that's correct, could you pick one, please?

Northwoods Baseball Sleep Radio (Podcast) - this is nominated with worldbuilding only. Since the setting seems to be mundane, could we please check what you had in mind, nominator?

Operation Mincemeat (2021) - nominator, did you want the musical? This is a nomination for the movie, but you've nominated Spilsbury and Steve, who don't seem to appear there. If we don't hear back from you, we will approve this within Operation Mincemeat - SpitLip.

Temple of the White Rat Universe - T. Kingfisher - we have nominations for Clocktaur War series and for the Saint of Steel series, which we will approve as those series respectively. We also have nominations for Swordheart (as a single book and series) and Daggerbound, which is its sequel, with character overlap; and a nomination for Temple of the White Rat Universe, with (only) characters from Swordheart/Daggerbound. We plan to merge the nominations for Temple of the White Rat Universe, Daggerbound, Swordheart, and Swordheart Trilogy into Swordheart Series - T. Kingfisher, as all characters nominated under these are for the two books (so far) in this series. If you’re a nominator and have opinions on this proposal, please let us know. Note that we won’t approve both Temple of the White Rat Universe and all these series separately, only one or the other.

W.I.T.C.H. - we have a nomination for this fandom, which usually covers the cartoon and the comics, and we also have a nomination for the comics separately. In the past, we've kept them separate.
